Celebrating Neurodiverse Brilliance: Lexxic Leads the Way this October and Beyond

Lexxic, a leading neurodiversity consultancy dedicated to empowering neurodiversity in the workplace, is thrilled to announce a series of engaging and free events and panel discussions throughout the month of October, aligning with significant awareness dates during the month.

Lexxic is proud to partner with the Business Disability Forum for a special panel discussion that took place on October 4th at 1pm (BST) to commemorate Dyslexia Awareness Week (2nd – 8th October). In the event titled “Celebrating the Diversity of Dyslexic Minds,” attendees had the opportunity to hear from panelists representing a diverse array of professions, roles, and backgrounds, sharing their unique strengths and experiences as dyslexic individuals within the workplace. The discussion was chaired by Helen Musgrove, Director of Psychological Consulting at Lexxic, and co-chaired by Lucy Ruck, Taskforce Manager at Business Disability Forum. It delved into ways employers can support and empower dyslexic employees.

To mark the arrival of Dyspraxia Week (9th – 15th October), Lexxic hosted “Dyspraxia (DCD): Support for Parents & Carers,” a free webinar on October 11th at 12pm. This event focused on parents and carers of dyspraxic individuals, particularly in the context of supporting neurodivergent children. This event aligned with Dyspraxia Week’s 2023 theme of “Community and Connectedness – the experiences of dyspraxic people and parents/carers.” During this webinar, one of Lexxic’s expert business psychologists delved into topics such as understanding dyspraxia, neurodifferences in children and the challenges they face, available support options including assessments for dyspraxia, and more. The event also featured a Q&A session at the end.

Concluding the month and in honor of ADHD Awareness Month, Lexxic will host a second panel discussion in partnership with the Business Disability Forum titled “Challenging Misconceptions and Embracing ADHD in the Workplace.” On Tuesday, October 24th at 12pm, attendees will have the chance to hear from Helen Musgrove, Adrian Ward, Head of Business Partnerships at Business Disability Forum (BDF), and five remarkable panellists as they celebrate the unique strengths and talents of individuals with ADHD while also addressing and challenging common misconceptions. The panelists, representing diverse professions, roles, and backgrounds, will draw on their lived experiences with ADHD.
